A Snowbelle Snippet
Pawtentially Fatal Plants

Lantana is a really common plant in Arizona.  Did you know that it could be fatal to your dogs or puppies?  Eating the leaves or berries of lantana plants can cause fatigue, bloody stools or other strange behaviors, even death.  Other toxic plants include many varieties of bulbs, mistletoe, poinsettia, jimson weed, ivy, hemlock, rhubarb and much more.

My best advice?  Keep your pets indoors, your plants up high and your eyes peeled.  Do not let us chew plants or greenery.  We may not be able to distinguish the good stuff from the stuff that can kill us, so we rely on our humans to help out.  Give us chew toys, quality time, games of fetch and lot of love to keep us from eating the bad stuff.
