Have you been swimming yet? It’s
really nice after a long walk, meeting with the
neighbor dogs, going riding in the car with Mom
and Dad, or just hanging out in the back yard.
I love to get wet and then shake all
over mom and dad. I’m not so sure they like it
though. They keep saying something about
COLD…..
One thing you need to do though is
remember to be safe around the pool. Some of
you may be in new homes and this is the 1st
time you’ve been around a swimming pool.
Aren’t we lucky to have families with pools?
For you 1st timers – be
sure to get your humans to show you where the
steps are. It might take 3 or 4 times but you
need to know so you can get out when you need
to. It’s even better yet if your humans go in
the swimming pool with you. I know they keep
saying something about COLD.
Does your pool have a bench or seat in
it? That’s a great place to sit and chew on a
tennis ball – you can even scratch your butt
again the pool. Feels so good.
You need to know where that bench or
seat is too. You never know when you might get
tired swimming and need to rest or just ponder
what a great home and life you have.
So, when your humans can’t go swimming
with you – they should stay outside with you
when you’re in the pool. You never know when
you might get distracted or disoriented and need
to be rescued.
Give it a couple of months and you’ll
find your humans much more willing to jump in
the pool with you. Bet you won’t hear them talk
about COLD then.
