gracie 9 Month Female Adoptee Contact #43-10

Hi! My name is Gracie. I just arrived and I am unpacking. I will get back to you later and tell you more about myself.

**Our policy is that we will not place Golden Retrievers under the age of 3 with families that have children that are 3 or less years of age. Young Golden Retrievers can be very excitable around young children, so we recommend older Goldens for families with very young children.

Hi, Cody, the happy Golden sports dude here!  I’m all about the sports and the playing.  Running, playing fetch, swimming, are all among my favorite things to do.  I love to meet new people and will bring a toy with me to greet people, just in case they want to play.  I’m not silly or anything.  I’ll bark to let you know that someone is there, though I don’t bark at the invited guests, just invaders.  I pretty much love everybody, though I do want to be the boss.  Make that The Boss.  You might have to remind me sometimes that I’m not.  It would be nice to have a canine brother or sister so we could play all the time!

As for training, I already know sit and am working on walking on the leash without tugging.  My foster mom says that I’m getting real good at lay down too.  When she tells me to go find my toy and then to lie down and chew on it, I’m happy to do that.  I’m also happy to provide my paper shredding service, free of charge!  I will go around and find all the miscellaneous paper products and shred them for you.  Plus, I’m great with cats and teenagers, guests, and pretty much anyone. I might be a bit too much for smaller kids because I’m so strong and playful.

Sometimes I get so busy playing or running in the yard, I forget that I went out there to do my business.  You might need to remind me.  I guess I’m still working on that house-training issue but I’m really pretty good.  I’m just not very vocal about my needs in that way.  I’d rather tell you that I want to play!  Because I’m just two years old, I’m still a puppy.  When things scare me, I will go get a toy to hold or I might ‘hold’ your hand.  Toys and play are the answer to everything!  So if you’ve got a spare dog bed and a basket of toys, I’m ready to be your new life companion!

Sophie (Belle) 4 Year Female Adoptee

 Contact #50-10

Hi!  My name is Belle and I am looking for a loving family to foster me until I can find my forever home.  You see, AZGRC had to rescue me right away because I was living outside and it is pretty hot out there.  I am a smaller Golden, who absolutely loves, loves, loves attention.  I will sit next to you all day long if you will just pet me and pay attention to me.  I would prefer a quieter place with no other dogs or older, mellower ones.  I can probably go with cats and older kids too.  If you could just foster me for a while that would be great, who knows, maybe you’ll fall in love with me.
